Richard D. Peek, MD, is a much-beloved orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in surgical treatments of degenerative problems, trauma and tumors of the cervical and lumbar spine. He has a special interest and skill in minimally invasive surgery of the spine using microscopic and laparoscopic techniques.
Dr. Peek earned his medical doctorate from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences where he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. He completed his orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at the California Spine Surgery Medical Group. He served as director of the Wiltse Spinal Fellowship and as clinical instructor at the University of California Irvine until 1992. He and his lovely wife, Bonnie Bailey Peek, returned to Little Rock to raise their three children: Bo, Richard Jr. and Mary Katherine.
