About Dr. Derrick Henry

Dr. Derrick Henry was drawn to orthopedics for the challenge and reward of using his hands to fix things. Growing up, he enjoyed tinkering, small projects, and vehicle maintenance, which translated well to his orthopedic practice. Orthopedic care often relies on a hands-on physical exam, allowing him to identify problems and collaborate with patients on treatments to restore their desired level of function.

Dr. Henry chose foot and ankle as a subspecialty because, despite the unique nature of each foot, they all follow the same biomechanical principles. With a solid understanding of anatomy and function, most foot problems can be reasonably explained and treated. His goal is to return patients to improved activity and function, transforming their worst day into significant improvement by the end of treatment.

Dr. Henry received his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) from 2014 to 2023. He then completed a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Orthopedics at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Hollis Anthony Henry, and their two children. His hobbies include hunting, smoking meats for BBQ, cooking, spending time with friends and family, enjoying activities at the lake, and automotive work.
