Tara Nicole “Nikki” Rogers is a certified physician assistant who
works with Dr. Grant Bennett in Conway. She has a passion for
sports medicine, working for 6 years as a certified athletic trainer
followed by a 14 plus year career as a physician assistant working
in orthopedics. She has been enjoying working with Dr. Bennett
since 2019. She enjoys taking care of a variety of patients from
Conway and the surrounding areas. She loves working with Dr.
Bennett both in surgery and in clinic and strives to improve patient’s function and quality of life by providing quality orthopedic care.
Nikki, a native of Blytheville, Arkansas, graduated valedictorian
from Gosnell High School in Northeast Arkansas in 1995 where she
was a key member of the Lady Pirate basketball team. She
continued her education at Ouachita Baptist University where she
majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Her interest in sports medicine evolved while at Ouachita as she became involved in the Athletic Training program as a student athletic trainer working with a variety of student athletic teams. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Ouachita in 1999.
She continued her love for sports medicine into graduate school
earning a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science with
emphasis in Human Performance and Sports Studies from the
University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2001. She had the privilege
of working as a student athletic trainer with the Lady Volunteers
Sports Medicine Team working mainly with swimming and diving
during her first year of graduate school in Knoxville. Following
graduate school, she became a certified athletic trainer in 2001 and then worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Southwest Baptist University (SBU) in Bolivar, Missouri, from 2002-2008. While at SBU, she worked with the women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, and women’s softball teams. She was also an
instructor in the Athletic Training Education Program as well as
taught in the Health and Physical Education Department. Nikki then sought to further her ability to provide quality sports medicine care by pursuing a career as a physician assistant. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the prestigious Physician Assistant Program at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 2010.
Nikki has worked as a physician assistant in orthopedics since
graduating from PA school in 2010. She gained valuable orthopedic clinical experience working as a PA at the prestigious Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee from 2010-2013 where she worked alongside Dr. Kevin Cleveland and Dr. Anthony Mascioli at the Midtown and Southaven locations as well as working in the urgent care clinic in both the Germantown and Southaven locations. She gained clinical and surgical orthopedic experience working alongside Dr. Russell “Rusty” Allison at Arkansas Orthopedic Institute in Russellville, Arkansas from 2013-2019.
Nikki has been a member of the Conway community since 2013
and has enjoyed cheering on her niece and nephew as they
attended and graduated from Conway Christian School. She
attends Central Baptist Church in Conway. She loves spending time
with family and friends, watching sports (especially cheering on the
Tennessee Volunteers), reading, playing the piano, and traveling.
