Growing up in rural North Carolina, Dr. Tejas Patel enjoyed learning about how things worked. This interest, combined with a desire to help people, led Dr. Patel to the field of orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Patel graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience while concurrently completing his masters in business administration from Rockhurst University in 2009. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Rowan University in New Jersey. Dr. Patel concluded his medical training with his fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Patel enjoys caring for patients with complex orthopedic injuries, including pelvis, acetabulum, and peri-articular fractures. He enjoys educating his patients on the personality of their injuries and helping them understand the treatment options. In addition, he enjoys helping patients maximize their functional recovery after severe injuries.
Dr. Patel and his wife, Mauli, spend their free time together with their three daughters to help instill them with the same love of learning. In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys woodworking, basketball, tennis, hiking and camping.
