David C. Barnett, M.D.

As the son of an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Barnett learned first hand the impact a physician can have on people's lives. Seeing his father's patients recover and return to their daily activities was a major influence on his decision to practice medicine.

Dr. Barnett, an Arkansas native, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and his Doctor of Medicine degree at UAMS in Little Rock, where he did residency training in orthopedic surgery. He has taught at the Veterans Medical Center in Little Rock and was an associate professor at UAMS for two years.

Dr. Barnett joined OrthoArkansas in 1981. He Board is Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery , is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and has served as Chief of Section of Orthopedics at Baptist Medical Center and as President of the Arkansas Orthopedic Association.

He and his wife, Pam, have three children and three grandchildren. In his leisure time, Dr. Barnett enjoys church, golf, athletics and spending time with this family.
